More than one Zedboard in a Network

eactor
eactor over 10 years ago

Right now I have 2 Zedboards connected to an Router. This led me to the problem that it can't distinguish between them? The both use the same mac adress  00:0A:35:00:01:22 to acquire a DHCP IP?
Where would I change the HW-Address of the Zedboard?
FSBL?
UBOOT?
Linux-KERNEL?
DEVICETREE?

Thanks

On one of my Zedboards, the first command leads to an error:
    zed-boot> setenv ethaddr 00:0a:35:00:01:23
    Can't overwrite "ethaddr"

On the other it does work, but how does the save work? It saves the Enviroment to SPI Flash? Even if I boot from SD card? What if my device doesn't have a QSPI or is that impossible?

    zynq-ubbot>saveenv

Probably the version/config is different. U-Boot has a feature to protect ethaddress and serial number that you can choose in config.

U-boot stores its environment in the flash (QSPI on the Zedboard). You can also change the startup default in the sources, rebuild uboot and put it on the SD card.
