Hello,
I just wanted to let everyone know that the Open Source Linux Ethernet Performance Tutorial has been migrated to Vivado 2014.4 and updated for ZedBoard, MicroZed, and added support for PicoZed. We also added some different tests into the performance report in case you are looking for an idea on what numbers to expect in your own test experiments.
These updated Reference Designs/Tutorials can be downloaded from our community sites using a registered login which is available free of charge to anyone:

There have been quite a few changes over previous (ISE based) versions with this latest update. Using one of the later kernel tags is definitely helping performance numbers and by switching to a Linux PC that helps the numbers even more. On tests run using a 2014.4 tagged kernel and a CentOS 7 test laptop, we are seeing throughput rates as high ~800 Mbps reported by iperf3 which is significant improvement over earlier iterations.

Please keep in mind that results will vary based upon varying network configuration and tuning parameters. Hopefully you can find this information useful for evaluaing our Zynq boards.
