Hi,
I was wondering if the stand-alone version of System Generator for DSP will work with the Vivado node-locked (7Z020) edition that comes with MicroZed? Or will I have to purchase the HL edition?
Thank you.

Hello Nocturnalpea,
Refering to this resource
https://www.xilinx.com/products/design-tools/vivado/vivado-webpack.html
the System Generator DSP requires Vivado HL System edition. I am curious as to where you saw the MicroZed comes with a Vivado node-locked License? I can't seem to find it to check which Vivado edition it comes with, so please point me to it. This is what I found it includes in the product brief.
Thanks,
Josh
Sorry, my bad. I've been cross comparing these models to the point I got them mixed up. It was the Zedboard that came with the node-locked license. Thank you again.
Hi JFoster,
Here's the link that I went to that suggested to me I could get it as a stand-alone version:
https://www.xilinx.com/products/design-tools/vivado/integration/sysgen.html
However, further searching online suggests that the HL version be purchased to minimize installation problems (but those comments were dated back in 2012).
Hello Nocturnalpea,
I am going to suggest that you ask this question over at the Xilinx Design Tools Forum as they will have the most experience/accurate information in regards to their tools.
