How to add Device driver for VGA or HDMI

Good Day

I am new with linux ,I work with Zedbord and I want to display text on the screen using VGA or HDMI port .

I read all the pages regarding ADV7511 ,but I still not understand how to add the driver.
In the speedway labs they added the driver as a patch ,but the driver in the Analog Driver site as C code.

please can any one help me to add the ADV7511 driver under linux .
