Is the Wifi configuration possible without the USB-to-JTAG/UART board?

Ultra96-V2 board without additional cards. The Quick-start works well.

Since no USB-to-JTAG/UART board is available, the following cofiguration was done:

Monitor connected to display port and keyboard connected to USB connector J9. Continued with the Ultra96-V2 Getting Started Guide point 8. It's possible to enter commands but we don't get to the login. In point 9 the wpa_supplicant was not initialized successfully.

What do you mean you dont get to the login? You dont get to the root / root login?

Hi Kurt,

I can test my hardware tomorrow morning in the same configuration you are trying. There may be an issue with the image in regards to accessing the UART over the USB/Display port connectors.

On another note, I would recommend getting a JTAG/UART board as that is how most of our development is done. We are also in the works on a new BSP for this Ultra96-V2 board, in this new BSP you should be able to configure the wifi via a web server GUI and not require the UART.
