Voltage Range PMOD

What voltage range should a signal be input to JB1 and JB2 in?  Like if I run a wire with a pulse train and wanted to use the PL to count how many pulses had occured what should the height of my pulse train be so as not to break anything but still to be able to read it?  Thanks!

    Is the voltage 3.3v?  That's what the Hardware users guide says but it seems a bit high.

    The Pmod I/Os are tied to PL I/O banks with a Vcco of 3.3V. Depending on what IOSTANDARD you as the designer set for your signal will determine the thresholds. For example, if you set it up as LVCMOS33, you can look in the Zynq 7010/7020 DC and AC Switching Characteristics datasheet (DS187). According to that, Vih-min for LVCMOS33 is 2.000V, while Vih-max is 3.450V.

    Zynq 7010/7020 DC and AC Switching Characteristics datasheet (DS187) which you can get from www.xilinx.com

     

    We don't repost the relevant datasheets for all the devices on ZedBoard so we refer you to the manufacturers of the various devices to get this information. You should also make sure you have access to the Zynq TRM from Xilinx as this will be critical to your success.
