Zedboard power up fail

blake_ding
blake_ding over 7 years ago

Hi sir,

When I power on the Zedboard, the LD13(power) doesn't light and LD0 ~ LD7 all RED.

The only action was that I shorted the 3.3V of J18.
After that, the Zedboard seems crashed?

Could I reset it by myself?

BR

    Hi,

What do you mean by measuring IC27 to see if its shorted? I would probably start with measuring all the pins on IC 27 and determining if the correct voltage is present at each of them. Please refer to the schematic and datasheet for that part.

    Hi Josh,

Sorry to make you confused, I just want to double confirm that if I shorted the pad of 3v3 of J18; and found the board couldn't be launched.
As you previously mentioned, this action may damage the IC27; right?
And IC27 would make power on sequence failed.
If we rework IC27, it will have a big chance to restore the board.

    BR

    Hi Blake,

I don;t know if that is the problem, as Chris mentioned above it could be another issue not yet identified. Like I mentioned earlier, before replacing IC27 i would suggest you verify all the pins going into IC27 are operating as expected. Refer to the datasheet for that part.

    Hi, blake

my problem is exactly like yours but in addition to Vadj=0v I am also having C351 voltage to be around 1V can anyone verify that, if my problem is the IC27 or if there could be some other problem with the board?
