Unable to boot in JTAG mode

Hello everyone,

I'm doing the zeboard CTT tutorial and I try to boot in JTAG mode, I've passed all the steps but when I send, via tera term, "go 0x8000" that launch the boot but stopped just after the line "XEMACPS mii bus : probed" and the zync> prompt never appear. Any idea ?

If this is the Vivado version of the Zynq Concepts, Tools, and Techniques I believe that there is an error in the tutorial. I think that the hardware platform that has been built in the previous labs does not have all of the peripherals (like Ethernet) implemented that the Linux port is expecting.

We have notified Xilinx and are waiting for their response.

Hi Gary,

thank you very much, I continued my tutorial, and I forget this passage. By cons I have another error when sending characters via the SDK terminal: "Bad file descriptor in nativeDrain" did you know this error ? How can I fix it ?

You might have better luck using a terminal program like Putty or TeraTerm rather than the SDK terminal. This would also allow you to run your program independent of the SDK.

If you really need to stay with the SDK terminal please provide a little more information on exactly where in the tutorial you are running into the problem.

It's not very important for me to use the SDK terminal (Tera Term works better), I would just like to know more about this error and how to fix it if I need to use the SDK terminal later. But I think I will not use it anymore, it has nothing more than Tera Term and doesn't work great.
