Dear Element14,
What the heck is this? I'm interested in the Azure Test Kit but don't say Free and then put $75 on the only way to get started.

Hello Michael, yes I have a (sort of) plan. But it is just a direction where I am pointing the sight as I need to read all the documentation, webinars and the plenty of material that E14 provided to design the project. Indeed, there are some fixed points like the use of the AWS cloud as I have already registered on it and I own an AWS EC2 by years where I store all my stuff, repositories, sites and I have a lot of gigabytes free on an external disk and more. The second point is that I have a number of robots and reacting stuff, most of them coming from the Art-a-Tronic last exhibition that I should connect plus a couple of new things. The general idea is to focus a real smart home fully interactive but as I said I need more details on this board to make a serious design.
I appreciated that the challenge is divided into two parts where the first is essentially focused on our own learning curve.
The last but not less important is a binding condition I will follow in all the design. It should be modular and replicable (as a matter open-source) as it will be part of some chapters of the second volume of the book I am writing, dedicated to the Raspberry PI.

For some unknown reason the "free kit" cannot be sent to individuals in Portugal only companies.... Farnell doesn't send kits to individuals in Portugal due to "commercial contracts". Need to find a different provider for Portugal.
Or Tell Farnell to allow the "purchase" from individuals in this case.
Mr. Zima,
I've submitted my registration for the kit, but I have not received a voucher or any response to my submission. Does it take some time to come through? I'm in the USA BTW. Thank you very much for your help!
I received the voucher code which 'entitles you to a free Azure Sphere kit:' but the code, when entered on the newark.com checkout site, comes back with
Where XXXXXX is the voucher code I was emailed.
I tried registering again with a different email and received the same voucher code. Is this promotion already over?
'XXXXXX The voucher code entered cannot be used against this order.'
Hi Stephen, the voucher code should come to you instantly, as a message on the community (the bell icon at the top right of the page) and to your email account as well. Please try the registration process again and let me know what happens, it will not issue you a fresh code if you've already been given one, it will simply resend you the first code.
Hi Kyle,
For any given user who registers they are only meant to receive one code, so if you do the registration process multiple times it will send back to you the same code.
One issue some users have had is that their adblocker interfered with the voucher code use. Can you please be sure your Newark shopping cart is empty, then try the registration process again and let me know what occurs via direct message on the community? The adblocker would be disabled on the Newark e-commerce site if you want to attempt that.
Mr. Zima, Thank you for your reply! I tried it again, even used a different browser with all ad blockers, etc disabled. I submitted it & got the Thank you message etc, but I'm still not getting an message with a voucher in my inbox. Any thoughts?
Hi Stephen, please check your direct messages on the community. It seems that having unique characters in your username might be throwing off the voucher code system, but we can easily correct this.
Hi.
I've registered in the community, joinned both chalenges "Secure everything contest" and "Sensing the worl challenge" but i haven't received any voucher code.
If I go to buy it costs 67€.
How can i have the voucher code?
My friend, 1st let me say this was NOT a scam as I signed up for it, got the voucher code & paid the shipping which for me was $8.52USD on July 22, 2019. The kit was delivered on July 27, 2019.
I just went to get you the exact link you needed, but this message is there now:
We had a limited quantity of these items to give away in each region. We have run out of stock now in Europe, so will no longer be accepting any new registrations or orders for the Azure Sphere board in Europe. Those who have vouchers from other regions may continue to place orders
