This behavior in Vitis is often related to a mismatch between the XSA and the platform metadata. If the hardware design doesn’t include a valid PS configuration or domain definition, Vitis won’t present OS/processor options. You might want to regenerate the XSA ensuring the PS is properly configured and that the Clock Generator and processing system are correctly exported. Also confirm you’re using the same tool version (Vivado/Vitis 2024.1) for both steps.

That seems like a software installation issue for Vitis. I assume you mean you do not see a selection when you are trying to create the platform in vitis. I would uninstall and re-install vitis.

I don't really have experience with Vitis, so no idea if Vitis even needs these, but worth a try.

Hi [mention:296c89b25d2c4d2ea7d35085b61af3e8:e9ed411860ed4f2ba0265705b8793d05] . Is there a specific fan you recommend placing on top of the heat sink? I found a 50x50 fan from ebm papst, but the screw holes do not align with those on the heat sink. Hoping there is a better option that won't require manually drilling holes.

I'm trying to redo the project with a LVDS slab, however, I'm having trouble with the "OSERDES" block, I don't really know how to configure it to get the same thing.
Are the files available somewhere?

Ok....Trying different LCD initialisations, not conforming to the LCD driver chip on the LCD data sheet, but the Hitachi HD44780 which is the granddaddy of them all, I can actually see characters properly. So it isn't a contrast issue, but an initialisation one. I'm not sure exactly what the correct startup is yet as following that given in the Hitachi's data sheet leaves me with faint characters but missing out a step of the initialisation given there, leaves me with a readable display. In any case, following the initialisation given by the LCD's data sheet leaves me with a misbehaving display.

I can at least work it out from here!
