Because it is sequenced, the board will need to powered-on before the fan will turn on, ie - simply plugging in USB-C may not power the fan. There is a mode where plugging-in USB-C is possible to power-on the board skipping the push-button. A resistor would need to be moved on the board. See the INIT signal on the power controller and the gray box. This would allow the fan to turn on (and the board) when plugging in the USB C cable directly.

Forum Post: Can I connect a fan (to power it) to USB 2.0 port of ZUBoard-1CG?

Hi, I am planning to develop an enclosure to the ZUBoard-1CG & would like to add a fan. Swapping the resistors made it such that the FMCOMMS2 comes up, LED is lit, chip can be talked to over SPI and registers can be set. So the AD9361 is up - but the AU15 RX I/O on the FMC interface is completely dead, and that's the part I'm no able to change. The SPI is working ok, i can talk to the chip, but all LVDS data stays at 0. The AU15P J46 jumper is set so things are running on 1.8V as they should, yet there is no LVDS activity at all. The AU15P uses HD pins for LA_07_P/N, but regardless of how that's pinned out, the other LVDS pairs ought to produce something. Here, IDELAY passes nothing into the FPGA on the receive side. Have FMC designs worked on this board before? Has AD9361 testing ever occurred? Now that this board is being replaced, can we get a schematic of the current version?

Forum Post: RE: UltraZed SOM issue

The BSPs for various tools versions are posted on a Sharepoint site. the code base used to generate those BSPs are on Avnet GITHUB.

Forum Post: RE: UltraZed SOM issue

Hello, iksevas, Can you please let me know you built in design file and BSP of the PetaLinux. I would be curious to see between the two SOMs if the clock is changing frequency during the boot process. as far as determining if there is a build difference between your boards, I would look closely at the eMMC devices on the two boards and check to see if those are different device somehow. Could be as time and device availability could result in changes. Typically, the factory programs QSPI and eMMC with Linux out of box image. Perhaps it would make sense to get that reprogrammed onto SOM and see how that functions.

Forum Post: UltraZed SOM issue

Hello, I have a problem for new purchased of UltraZed SOM about the MMC access error by FSBL and I2C-2 read error, seems to be slow booting time via EMMC.
