In this blog, I'm reviewing the predefined LabVIEW process. In the next posts I improve the precision by adding reference junction measurement.

I designed the flow with external PT100 as cold junction reference, and let the DMM run the design.
All measurements overflow, because the PT100 is not mounted (it's on order, expected somewhere in May).

But the setup definitely works. The channel 1 is set up as the PT100 reference, all other channels configured to use that reference:

I measured the cold junction inside the DM6500, next to the contact, with another meter (not precise): 27.4°C at the start. The meter had been on for hours. It's winter here - a chilly day - with the thermostat set to 21.5°C. The heating is doing a reasonable job, it seems.
