The VENTUNO Q is the latest single-board computer from Arduino. It’s built around a dual-processor design of a Microprocessor SoC and Real-Time Microcontroller and is designed for Robotics, Actuation and Artificial Intelligence workloads.

Built around a dual-brain architecture that pairs a Qualcomm Dragonwing™ IQ8 processor with a dedicated STM32H5 real-time microcontroller, VENTUNO Q doesn’t just interpret the world, it interacts with it. So you get sensing, decision, and action all on one board, on the edge, offline.

The AI brain with pre-loaded Linux delivers up to 40 dense TOPS of NPU acceleration for vision models, LLMs, and multi-modal AI inference. The action brain runs the Arduino Core on Zephyr RTOS, enabling sub-millisecond, deterministic control of motors, CAN-FD, PWM, and GPIO. The two communicate seamlessly via an RPC bridge: no multi-device complexity, no latency penalty, no compromise.

It’s the most powerful Arduino platform to date, offering 16 GB LPDDR5 RAM and 64 GB industrial-grade eMMC with expandable M.2 NVME Gen.4 port. On the MPU side, it runs standard Ubuntu (and Debian coming soon) Linux. Yet it maintains the openness, versatility, and ease of use that Arduino has become synonymous with. The PSOC™ 4100T Plus Prototyping Kit for PSOC™ 4100T Plus MCU (CY8CPROTO-041TP ) is powered with Infineon's 5th Gen CAPSENSE™ technology. The PSOC™ 4100T Plus MCU offers advanced sensing capabilities and enables enhanced HMI and system control in a single chip. The kit offers a complete, out-of-the-box experience, allowing users to explore and assess the capabilities of Infineon’s 5th-generation CAPSENSE™ and Multi-Sense technology. The kit enables developers to create and test applications that leverage self/mutual capacitance sensing technologies.

As part of this road test, we are also looking for testers to leverage interchangeable expansion cards found in a separate PSOC 4000T kit while road testing the new PSOC 4100T Plus prototyping kit.

You will receive 2 kits, one for the product being reviewed (CY8CPROTO-041TP), and a separate kit (CY8CPROTO-040T-MS) which will include the relevant expansion cards, including: a hover touch board, liquid level sensing board, and some metal touch boards. You will use these expansion cards to attach to your PSOC 4100T Plus prototyping kit (CY8CPROTO-041TP) for expanded testing of hover, metal and liquid level sensing.

In the Modus Toolbox, CY8CPROTO-041TP based example codes are available for these expansion boards, for easier plug and play.

The Voyager4 uses triaxial, digital-out, MEMS sensors, including the ADXL382 and ADXL367. The design also includes the MAX32666 BLE and MAX78000 AI microcontrollers. Flexible and PCB area-efficient PMIC power devices have been added as load switches for enhanced wireless sensor power savings. A BLE 5.3 Adapter with Antenna is included in every Voyager4 kit. Voyager4 uses BLE which makes it compatible with any PC with a Bluetooth Radio, but to ensure optimal performance and range, using the adapter when communicating with Voyager4 is recommended.

The Nordic Thingy:91 X is a versatile prototyping platform designed for the development of cellular IoT applications. It is built around the nRF9151 System-in-Package (SiP) which supports LTE-M, NB-IoT, GNSS, and NR+, making it suitable for global use. Connectivity features include a USB interface powered by the nRF5340 System-on-Chip (SoC), which also supports Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) for specific use cases. The device is designed to be immediately operational with minimal setup, as it comes bundled with SIM cards from Onomondo and Wireless Logic, preloaded with data. Power management is efficiently handled by the nPM6001 and nPM1300 PMICs, with the latter also providing battery charging and fuel gauging functionalities. The included 1350 mAh Li-Po battery supports extended field testing, making the transition from prototype to field deployment smoother.

The Nordic Thingy:91 X utilizes nRF Cloud, an IoT-optimized cloud service that integrates seamlessly with the device. It supports nRF Cloud Location Services, which offer efficient location data computation. The device’s firmware, developed using the nRF Connect SDK, is open source and can be customized to meet specific needs. It facilitates secure data transmission from Thingy:91 X to nRF Cloud, where it can be accessed through a user-friendly interface.

The nRF Connect SDK provides a comprehensive toolkit for developers working with Nordic Semiconductor devices.
