Hi,

How can I connect to my card? Tried with various libraries and tutorials for other PSoc board (5)

Add pull-up resistor to I2C pins ??

Hello everyone !

I'm a new user to the CY8CKIT-042CY8CKIT-042. I'm trying to communicate this kit with a sensor via I2C protocol. To do this, I've connected the SDA and SCL pins of the sensor to the pin P4.0 and P4.1 of the CY8CKIT-042CY8CKIT-042. The next thing I need to do is configurate these pins P4.0 and P4.1 to a pull-up resistor to drive the SDA and SCL line.

I'm trying to do this in the PsOc Creator Software but I don't know how. Can anyone help me with this.

Can you setup Capacitive Proximity sensor and Capacitive button at the same time?

Hi,

I am using the CY8CKIT-043CY8CKIT-043 PSoC® 4 M-Series Prototyping Kit. What I am trying to achieve is to be able to detect the proximity of a hand and at the same time been able to interact with capacitive buttons.

Getting the proximity part of the project works fine, but been able to turn on and LED by pushing on a CAP sense button does not. I have looked thru the examples and tried different options to get the LED to turn on but to not end.

My first question is can you use both the proximity feature and the cap sense button at the same time?

A question of ADC on PSOC4(CY8C4244LQI-443)

Does Pin 1.7 become unavailable for GPIO use(in my case as a Digital High impedance Input), when you use an ADC in the design? Even if reference is set as Internal 1024mv in the ADC? Because I can see. I can not detect a High on P1.7 even if the level is 3.0V.

PSoC 4 Music Player Project Question

So currently for one of our projects, we are trying to replicate a previous project from this forum:

PSoC 4 Pioneer Kit Community Project#051 – Music Player

However, we are using a Sparkfun MP3 Player Shield which has a VS1053B IC decoder. The problem that we are having is that we aren't able to import the VS1053's library into PSoC Creator, which means that our VS1053B doesn't have any functionality. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

I recently got the Cypress BTLE kit and have been doing research on working with a SD Card. It looks like all the examples are a bit old and none do over 2GB. Has this been resolved? Seems a bit dated to be working only with 2GB cards. It also seems the examples and libraries area all over the place. Is there a place where you can get all the libraries with the latest versions? If I use the Cypress for production I can't have 2GB limits.

(D/M/Y H/M/S)

LED will turn on for 5 second on date 22/5/2015 time 5:50:10

LED will turn on fo 10 minute on date 23/5/2015 time 5:50:10

LED will turn on for 5 hours on date 24 /5/2015 time 5:50:10

I received an example #30 from Cypress. It helped a great deal. Now I am trying to receive data from a warless device that sends serial strings. I am not sure how to rewrite the following code for Cypress module. I have to send 0x020 to turn the remote device on and I do need to pair the devices?

Creating a BLE products for Apple devices

Apple Notification Center Service (ANCS) enables a BLE device to connect to an iOS device and access notifications generated on the iOS device. This can be used to quickly design an accessory such as a smartwatch, which can pair with an iPhone. You can learn how to implement ANCS in this example project that shows how PSoC 4 BLE can be used to implement ANCS. The BLE Pioneer Kit is connected to an iPhone and a UART-based console informs the user of the ongoing activity on the iPhone. Incoming calls (with the caller name) are displayed on the terminal and can be accepted or declined by the user directly from the terminal. The number of missed calls, voicemails and emails is also shown.

I am not able to interface JHD162A LCD to any of the PSoC Kits?

I have tried the Cypress LCD component as well as a Community component where you can select different pins.

In both the cases I get some junk on display ? I did manage to get the custom component working for a while but now that's also not working.

I have been through the LCD component's datasheet like a 1000 times and almost tried all the functions but with no luck ?? Please help !!

New PSoC Creator 101 Videos - PSoC 4200 Low Power Modes

Three new PSoC Creator 101 videos were added to the Cypress Video Library today. Alan Hawse, Executive Vice President of Software at Cypress, will take you through the different low power modes, tips on using each of the different modes, and go in depth on how to use the sleep mode. In the first video, Alan walk you through the five power modes available in the PSoC 4200 family. Those power modes are Active, Sleep, Deep-Sleep, Hibernate and Stop. In the second video, Alan goes through some tips for the different power modes from his experiences using the PSoC 4200. He also shows you how to measure your power using the PSoC 4 Pioneer Kit. It's only me or other people also bumped into this problem: First my PSoC5LP CY8C5868LTI-LP39 68-QFN lost two of the four opamps, as I have described in this blog post, then when I opened a previous project in PSoC Creator 2.1 I noticed that the flip-flops were missing from the schematic. I did not disrepair and I brought new flip-flops from the library, but these ones had a much bigger symbol that did not fit in the old place, so I had to redraw parts of the schematic. Then when I built the project I got multiple errors, some of them shown below:

This was a finalized project that worked well before, and now I cannot do anything with it.

Did anyone experience strange behavior like this with Cypress's PSoC Creator tool?

Does anyone form Cypress want to comment on this topic?
