Hello,

I am able to get Ubuntu running in terminal, however i would like get it displayed in HDMI,

Even modifying uenv.txt with the below fdt_file value. Still nothing get displayed in HDMI out.

Default yocto atmel hdmi example image works fine.

Please show me some directions to get HDMI output from the target.

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to port ubuntu in SAMA5D4, i followed the below article,

Note:

Board: SAMA5D4 Xplained Ultra

Linux: UBUNTU (Kylin 16.04 LTS)

Also followed all the steps and everything worked fine, when trying to boot from SD Card got the below issue.

I finally get back on this board and tested this image it's pretty cool ....

I am looking for any hints to rebuilt it all from sources, and add extra packages and more ...

Do you know about dri/egl support status ?

Good Job Peter,

The board looks quite capable, but I agree that you need to have a good support environment to make it easy to use.

It looks like there are a few bugs left to workout, but it is still an interesting board.

Peter,

Were you able to get the touch screen working? On my board I can use the mxt-app utility to read the device info, but that's about all.

Your two posts are going to save me. I was stuck with this board where virtually everyone seems to hit the wall - at the linux prompt.
That's where I got after a 3 day week-end (I got to that point on day 1 and didn't make too much progress after that).

Now it's getting worse the chip is no more identified :

There is a USER blue led blinking and the two others are red (POWER POWER)

Please confirm the jumper states too (JP7 open and EDBG_DIS) are open

Is there any hardreset cheat codes to try ?

Btw the board boots fine using stock yocto image

(Poky (Yocto Project Reference Distro) 1.6.1 )

Does the TM4301 come with a cable for connection to the SAMA5D4 Xplained Ultra board? Did you use the flex interface or one of the headers?

You should read:

#set board_suffix "_xplained_hdmi"

rzr: Yes, SAM-BA works on Linux pretty well. For some reason your sequence stopped. Please try another USB port, a USB hub in between. But indeed, there is no obvious reason why the sequence is stopped here (Chips is identified).

Thanks Peter. Just one question: Did you use an USB/Serial DBGU port bridge like the FTDI TTL-232R-3V3 USB to TTL serial cable with the SAMA5D4 mentioned in the attached quick start for SAMA5D3?
