Hi Cabe,

The Jetson is a nice approach, but I am agast at how the Auto electronics developers are reinventing the wheel for all of their devices.

I see posts about their attempts to solve information collection, analysis and display that were solved decades ago by the aerospace industry.

If I ran any of the automakers, I would quickly team up with an aerospace company. The resulting leap forward would save them years of development.

As for making things reliable in harsh environments, take a look at the specifications for avionics equipment and you will quickly see that the auto environment is much less taxing.
