Very good documentation and this would be a great starting point for the Gizmo 2. One question though, is there any SDK to access and control the embedded features of this board? i.e. SPI, I2C, GPIO drivers?

Hey shabaz,

I'm running into some issues getting a different OS to run on the Gizmo2 ...

I'm using an Ubuntu Live image which I can boot from USB on the Gizmo2. I can install it on the microSD card using the wizard. However, once installed, it's giving me a "no bootable device" when booting from the microSD. Do you know what could be wrong?

I see you've performed some manipulations as well when installing CentOS ...

1 GB DRAM seems kind of small for a US$199 board with such a powerful processor. For US$99 you can get an ODROID-XU3 Lite with 8-core CPU (4 ARM Cortex A15 + 4 Cortex A7) and 2 GB DRAM.

Looks interesting, but for about the same money a terga jetson from Nividia would be more fun for me. Thanks for a good review as always. What other boards can use the same back plane?

Good review.

It looks like an interesting system for a small area.
