Hi guys,

I have been trying to load the required kernel imagery onto the WaRP7 board and during the u-boot process encounter these errors as shown - would anyone be able to shed some light on how I could get around this and eventually load an OS onto the board?

After copying u-boot.ims to the imx_usb_loader-master folder

What's the difference if you put "imx_usb_loader-master" or just "imx_usb_loader".

Because finally I have both versions in my files.

Hello, I followed step by step for the configuration but to generate the image with the bitbake command iot-qt-image I have errors.

Running this from a Virtual Machine (vmware, virtualbox) the Device Firmware Upgrade Mode (DFU mode) to burn the uboot to warp7 emmc fails.

The dfu-util command does not detect anything.

Are you experienced using DFU in Virtual Box, do you have proof that it works?

Great! Much needed and much appreciated!

So are we limited to only using Ubuntu to load our cross compiled programs onto the Warp7? I'm currently working with ARM to get their DS-MDK development environment up to snuff with the Warp7.

Turns out, we are pushing the frontiers of technology here.

I just recently bought warp7 and pretty impressed with its capabilities with such a good form-factor. With little hiccups by closely following the document, was able to build u-boot and successfully flashed it on warp7. When I connected to warp7 with minicom, getting the prompt of linux login, not u-boot prompt. Logged into warp7 and try to execute 'env default -f -a' at linux prompt of warp7 , interestingly `env` command is not found. Not sure what is happening here.. Appreciate your help.

I managed to build the image. The difference this time is a new version Morty has been posted. Biggest point of confusion for me is we now have the choice of "framebuffer", "wayland", "x11", and "xwayland".

For the command:

MACHINE=imx7s-warp source-environment build

I would get an angry message from the system. Turns out I needed to specify the distribution so we need to replace the above with

MACHINE=imx7s-warp DISTRO=poky source-environment build

I'm running Ubuntu Desktop version on a Sandy Bridge based PC.
