I feel that is not enough documentation out there. Does anyone recommend it or can point to another tool?

I gave a try to Truestudio because its free ( fully- featured)

Oh, also, I haven't understood yet the folder structure so I can make a proper .gitignore file.

any help appreciated,

thanks

Edit: I already used MDK and IAR to run some codes and I didn't have problems with them, they were pretty straight forward. It happens that both tools are limited and as David pointed out in the comments the TrueStudio was purchased by ST and made it all for FREE. Also, TrueStudio runs with GCC compiler and integrates with git, therefore I considered to use it for my projects, but it seems lack in proper documentation about itself ( I even haven't been able to program my target without debugging and it seems to run slow to compiler or navigate). I guess there is some configuration out there to make my experience more fluid.

Note1: My PC is a core-i5 7th gen, 8GB RAM DDR4

Note2: About run slow, I had been working with Cypress PoC Creator and MPLABX succesfully.

Wi-Fi software access code.

Hi,

I bought my STM32F4DISCOVERY Base Board & DISCOVER Wi-Fi a long time ago.

I'm not keeping the packaging.

I can't download software without access code.

this is the message :

To download your Discover Wi-Fi software, please enter your access code below. I have tried this example by clive1 (flashing with hex/bin file directly). And also I have tried both, SPI and SDIO examples from this site. In the project from second example I placed "debugging" LED after the line: if (f_mount(&FatFs, "0:", 1) == FR_OK) And it seems the if condition isn't met, because LEDs don't turn on. Program ends in while(1) loop.

I believe my wiring is ok and also I am using new Micro SD card (tried also SD with SPI), but no success. Does anyone have any suggestions, please, how I could resolve the problem?

Thank you and kind regards,

JC

UVC for STM32F429I Discovery Board

Hi,
I am developing a webcam like application with STM32F429I. I'm not even sure if I connected the correct pins on the board, as there are 2 sets of SPI pins (SPI and SPI3), and I'm not 100% sure of which pin is the "ALRT" pin. I couldn't even get that interrupt to fire, despite numerous attempts to send data to the module. Does anyone have some working SPI code and wiring? I'm kind of at a loss here. I've put the code is this gist and this gist (too many lines to paste here), it looks rather shoddy as I was trying various things to get the module to do anything at all. I tried both DMAs and straight up interrupts, though I'd prefer to use DMAs to save CPU cycles.

When I try to build the wifi demo project I get the following error: "rtl.h: No such file or directory"

When I try to build the wifi demo project I get the following error: "rtl.h: No such file or directory"....Can somebody tell me what library do I need to get this error resolved?..I do not know if its just a matter of adding a include path or installing missing libraries.

STM32F4 Discovery board & ST-Link Utility - Core Lockup

Greetings all,

After about a year I have returned to playing with STM32F4 Discovery board.
