It is an overlay to the GSM network. Embest GPRS8000-SGPRS8000-S module is an ARM based embedded GPS module which allows to connect to the Embest board providing a GSM/GPRS solution. MPN: GPS8100-SGPS8100-S	GPS8100-S module is a new ARM based embedded GPS (Global Positioning System) module based on JRC GPS receiver module G591 which allows connection to the Embest , Devkit8500D and SBC8530 boards to get position and altitude. The GPS8100-S module has a tiny patch board which can connect to an Embest board through the UART (the serial port) from the expansion connector.
