Overview

The SAM3U Board (EB-SAM3UEB-SAM3U) is an ARM embedded evaluation board produced by Embest, integrates the ATMEL Cortex-M3 core-based processor ATSAM3U4EATSAM3U4E. The board not only features one 2.8 inches TFT LCD panel, but also includes a wide range of peripherals: high-speed USB, I2C, SD, MCI, UART, I/O extension interface, RTC, IIS I/O ports, TFT LCD interface, three LEDs and five key-presses. In addition, there are plenty of software examples accompanying in the CDROM of this board, these examples are used in Keil MDK environment and help engineers speed up the development of their projects.

The ATSAM3U4EATSAM3U4E is a member of the ATMELRegistered SAM3U family of flash microcontrollers based on the high-performance 32-bit ARMRegistered Cortex-M3 RISC processor. It operates at a maximum speed of 96MHz and features two 128KB of dual-bank flash and 52KB of SRAM. The peripheral set includes a HS USB device and Phy at 480Mbps, HS multimedia card interface for SDIO/SD/MMC, a 16-bit external bus interface supporting NAND flash, three USARTs, two TWIs, four SPIs, I2S, four PWM timers, three 16-bit timers, RTC, and eight 12-bit and eight 10-bit ADCs.

The architecture sustains high-speed data transfers, with multi-layer bus matrix, multiple SRAM banks, PDC, and DMA support parallel tasks to maximize data throughput. The SAM3U4C operates from 1.62V to 3.6V and is available in 144-pin LQFP and BGA packages.

Key Applications: Industrial Communications, Mobile Phones, Portable Audio Players
