Hi I'm working on a simple Vacuum tube AKA Valve guitar amp circuit.
Is there a library that has vacuum tube socket bases for 9 pin?
Thanks
Glen

Try nixie_tube.lbr, russian-nixies.lbr or tubes.lbr in the Download
area.

Hi Nick
I got around to using the link you posted and made my socket and put it in a
library.
My question is, I'm only able to use the socket in the board editor. The
socket does not show up in the schematic.
Is there a way to be able to have the socket show up in the schematic?

A symbol for the schematic has little to do with the realtity of a
board. Just place a few connectors symbols and combine that to a device.

Hi Glen,
Your socket (the package) is not enough to create a complete library
sysmbol. You also need a symbol for the schematic. You can download
'TUBES.ZIP' (by Mühlke Thorsten) from the Cadsoft website and 'borrow'
a symbol from there (ie. diode, triode, pentode). After that you connect
the symbol (schematic) and the package (board) into a device. (using the
library editor)
If you don't know how to do this, maybe now is a good time to download
the Eagle tutorial from the same location...
Good luck,
Richard
Thanks Richard for taking the time to explain it properly!
I'll give it a try.
