Female versions of pinhead library?

embeddedbob
embeddedbob over 11 years ago

Hopefully I've simply overlooked the obvious parts in the libraries, but are there female versions of the pinhead library?  Specifically, I'm looking for 2X15 and 2X20 90 degree connectors.  It's not hard to make new devices but figured they might already be there already.

Thanks,

Bob

I don't use Eagle, but unless you are 3d modeling wouldn't the header footprint be the same for both male and female headers?

You're probably looking for the ones in "con-lsta", although a quick

look on V5 suggests the 15x2 R/A is missing.

con-lsta is exactly what I was looking for, and I can add the missing 2x15.

Michael, I considered using the male header but was concerned that someone would question why the "wrong part" (the female version) was put onto a board when the design indicated a male was supposed to be used.  It might also prevent me from making a mistake and soldering the wrong part to the wrong board.

    Thanks for the help!

    Bob
