I have been given a set of gerber files from a client.
The gerbers have the layers from a design some other engineer was working on, but is no longer available.
Is it possible to import the gerbers into layers on a BRD in eagle ?
I looked through all the ULPs but couldn't see anything related to gerber import.
All I need are the precise board dimensions and component placements - I don't need the tracks and soldermasks or anything - all I'm trying to do is place the components in precisely the same place, on a board exactly the same dimensions.
OR is there an easier way to do this? All I really need are human readable data giving me the board dimensions and component positions. The board is non-rectangular, a custom shape to fit a custom built device.
Sorry, I do not have access to the original project files. I don't even know what package they are from.
