Hi
There is a new huge annoying big strange bug in the properties windows, for all kind of elements.
This bug concerns simple numeric parameters such as position, radius etc.... but not listed numeric parameters such as width, dirll...
If when you open the properties window on a element (part, circle, wire etc...), then all the numeric parameters that don't have a decimal part in their value at the time the windows is open, will be restricted to integer value:
Example 1:
Take a circle at this position = (123.45 65) and radius = 4.5.
Then open the properties window, then Sir Eagle will not allowed the user to enter the dot character (neither the ',') on the vertical position, this value is restricted to integer only. . . why because He though that the user need nothing else since the value had no decimal part when the windows was open.... But since Sir Eagle is kind, He let you do what you want on the horizontal position and the radius....
So you close the property windows, and you move your circle ant this new position (123 65.5), and you change the radius to 5.0 . Open again the properties windows, and Whaoooo! A miracle, now it's the horizontal and the radius that are limited to integer...
So:
if we want to use the properties windows to move and place something at an exact position, first, we have to move the thing and avoid a position that could looks like an integer, then we can use the properties windows to move the thing....
if we want to use the properties windows to change the radius, first, we have to change it avoid a value that could looks like an integer, then we can use the properties windows to ...
In other words the 7.3 make the properties windows very very very less useful...
I run Eagle 7.3 64 bits on Linux (SUSE 13.2 (64)). Monday I will be at my office, so I could tell you if there is the same bug on Windows (64).
