061X Discs

Slurry coated chrome oxide mineral in 0.5 micron on 3 mil polyester backing. Chrome oxide is used for final finishing of magnetic audio and video tape heads. Chrome oxide aids the final polishing of bi or tri-metal substrates used in magnetic heads.
254X TR3 Discs 
Slurry coated aluminum oxide on 2 mil polyester film backing. Available in 1 and 2 micron. Product was designed for carbon buff application on thin film memory disks. Can also be used in disc form for lapping metal substrates.

 

261X Discs

The standard of 3M's lapping films. Precisely graded aluminum oxide particles coated on a 3 mil polyester film produce uniform fine finishes. Available in discs in 0.3, 3, 5, 9, 12, and 30 micron grades.

 

262X TF Rolls 

Slurry coated aluminum oxide on a 3 mil polyester film backing in grades 1 and 2 micron. Product is typically supplied in sheets and/or discs and is used in polishing fiber optics as well as precision lapping operations.
263X TP Discs
A durable resin system characterizes this slurry coated aluminum oxide 3 mil backed product. Available in 7 micron grades (60~0.05) this product is designed for roll superfinishing and fiber optic applications in disc form.
265X TF Discs
A 1 micron slurry coated aluminum oxide abrasive with a pressure sensitive adhesive backing. This product is used in fiber optic polishing as well as other precision lapping applications.
266X TP PSA Discs
A slurry coated aluminum oxide on 3 mil pressure sensitive adhesive backing in 7 micron grades (40 ~ .05). This is our standard product in sheet goods for general purpose lapping as well as fiber optic polishing.
268X PSA Discs
Our standard 3 mil aluminum oxide lapping film with a pressure sensitive adhesive backing (PSA) in 0.3 micron. This product is used for polishing fiber optic connectors. Available in disc form.
452X TF2 Discs
A slurry coated silicon carbide on a 2 mil backing available only in 1 micron. This product is our standard product for floppy disk burnishing applications. This uniformly coated product has become a standard in the industry.
461X Discs 
This slurry coated silicon carbide 3 mil backed polyester film product is available in 5, 9, 15, & 30 micron and is our standard product for silicon carbide sheet goods.
462X Discs
The slurry coated silicon carbide product on 3 mil polyester backing available only in 3 micron is designed for applications on fiber optic connectors.
463X Discs
Micron graded silicon carbide particles coated on a 3 mil polyester backing. Used primarily on thermoset and thermoplastic MT connectors as a precursor to the flocked products. Available in sheets, discs and rolls, in a 3 micron grade.
466X TP PSA Discs 
This slurry coated silicon carbide 3 mil backed product with a durable resin system with a pressure sensitive backing (PSA) is available in 5 micron. Used primarily in fiber optic polishing.

 

468X Discs

This slurry coated silicon carbide 3 mil backed polyester film product is available in 5, 9, 15, & 30 micron and is our standard product for silicon carbide sheet goods. PSA backing.

 

468X PSA Discs

Our standard 3 mil polyester backed slurry coated silicon carbide is available with a pressure sensitive adhesive backing in disc form for metallurgical and fiber optic polishing applications. Micron grades available are 9, 15, & 30.

 

468XY Discs

This standard 3 mil polyester backed, slurry coated silicon carbide is available in pressure sensitive disc rolls in 3 micron. This product is used for repairing acrylic windows.

 

562X Discs

A unique 3 mil polyester backed product coated with .5 micron cerium oxide used for glass polishing applications including fiber optic applications.

 

863X Discs

A single grade product coated on a 3 mil backing for the final step in polishing fiber optic ceramic connectors.

 

863XW Discs

A single grade product coated on a 3 mil backing for the final step in polishing fiber optic ceramic connectors.

 

865X Discs

3MTm Lapping Film 865X consists of precision coated silica on a polyester film. This long lived product produces high quality connectors that meet Telecoria standards.

 

869X PSA Discs

A single grade product coated on a 3 mil backing for the final step in polishing fiber optic ceramic connectors. This is a pressure sensitive adhesive product available in disc form.

 

869XW PSA Discs

A single grade product coated on a 3 mil backing for the final step in polishing fiber optic ceramic connectors. Similar to 869X with higher mineral resin ratio, providing easier breakdown and faster polish. PSA product sold in disc form.
