It's not worth it. It has not been updated for more than 5 years. The forum here doesn't show many benefits of CS, just all the problems people have been having in getting responses from Altium, and frustrations that the software is not updated.

If you are able to do so (i.e., if you are not being mandated to use CS), you'd be better off using better-supported software. An example is KiCad 8.

You are probably about to have resolved this issue.

The layers that set the board outline vary from board factory.

Some Chinese board factories instruct the board outline to be described on the GML (Milling Layer) or GKO (Keep Out Layer) layer.

You should draw a board outline to Keep-Out Layer and check GKO on [Gerber setup]-[Layer] tab.

Regarding point 1: When you are routing and want to change the layer, hold SHIFT+CTRL and use your Mouse wheel to scroll through the signal layers

I particular like the idea of a direct support for Ultra Librarian in Circuit studio as with almost the entire digikey catalogue of items available it would be simple.

At work we use Zuken and I do like the ease of import and have been looking at Circuit Studio for my own shop but would desire that feature

This is a bad joke of a program. Support is stopped, the tool is full of bugs and they still sell it online as if it was a useable tool.

Unable to download and install this software at all. The download hangs up and cannot get passed the Base-PCB package.

The procedure no longer works, you have to use import from main menu. I'm so happy I am no longer using this poor joke of a progrom. Yep, I have poured £1000 down the drain as the software is a waste of time and the bugs will never be fixed. I am now using KiCad, at least they are making progress.

Not worth maintaining subscription for this.

I will renew ours when some of the bugs are fixed or something useful is actually released.

Try to use * key on numeric keypad.

There are many more things that need patching. I have a repeatable crash that I've reported dozens of times but my submissions have never been acknowledged nor has the problem fixed. Try it yourself:

1. Start a new PCB design with a board outline that is round or has an arc.

2. Place some components

3. Use the arc tool to make a trace on the top layer.

4. Assign it a net

5. Draw some more arcs as traces.

6. Now connect route a trace from a component to one of the arcs with the same net.

You will have a bit of success but eventually the route tool will crash and you will get the dialog box. When you dismiss the box all the arc traces will be gone, only the straight traces and components remain.
