How to export circuitmaker files in order to import into circuitstudio

realworldtonystark
realworldtonystark over 8 years ago

The title itself is fairly self explanatory, how do I export schematic and board files from circuitmaker in order to import into circuit studio. I see that under the import option on circuit studio that it can in fact take the circuit maker file type, I can not however for the life of me figure out how to export these files from circuit maker.

    Hi,

Here is the reply from the developers:

Do you know what version of CS they are using? Beta 1.3?

    - We added CM import of PCB (.cmpcbdoc) files to 1.3 and was not available in 1.2 or 1.1.

    - (as you know) For .schdoc and .schlib and .pcblib files these don't need to be imported and can be opened naively.

We are planning a more streamlined way. But for now you can get the CM files from

    C:\ProgramData\Altium\CircuitMaker {GUID}\Projects\Project GUID\ (*.CMPCBDoc)

I'm trying to do the same thing. I have designed a board in CM but I think I'd like to switch to Eagle. When I try to import the .CMPCBDoc I get an error. I'm using CM version 1.3 and Eagle version 8.0.1. Here's a screenshot of the error I'm getting
