Polygon Pour connection type. Help needed

Hi Everyone!

I figured out how I can disable thermal relieves for my vias, since I wanted them to be fully (direct) connected to copper - see pictures. First one is with and second is without thermal relieves. So I got the direct connection for the vias at ground pours and ground planes. BUT with the direct connection, the via's that are connected to pins are no longer connected to the top gnd-pour, as seen in the second picture.

I've been tinkering around for a while now, and I can't figure out how to connect the via's to the top ground pour when they are also connected to a pin. I mean, they are connected to the bottom gnd pour. But I figured it would be helpful if they are also connected to the top gnd pour.

Can somebody point out which design rule to create to make this possible?

If this has been discussed somewhere else, I'd be glad to be pointed there :)

Hi, Jonas. Were you ever able to figure this out? I am interested in doing the same thing. Did you try manually routing the connections from the vias/pins to the ground pour and maybe just not having those ones surrounded by copper? Certainly not an ideal solution.

Edit: Actually, following suggestions from community.element14.com/.../selective-thermal-relief-for-thru-holes-smt-pads-vias-in-circuitstudio, I don't seem to have the same problem.

    Hi nabelekt,

no, unfortunately I wasn't able to figure it out. I just went with the "default" solution as in picture 1. As you stated, connecting everything manually wouldnt have worked, since it would have been a lot of effort, and worst thing, if I repour something I would be afraid that I would have to do it again.

Maybe I catch some time and give the solution a try you pointed out.

If you lock the traces, and if when you repour it asks if you want to allow it to "unlock primatives," or something like that, and you say no, then this shouldn't be an issue. It will leave what you have locked alone.
