I was able to get this to work. It took a little playing around with it though as I normally don't use the "PCB" window and did not have it shown in my custom screen layout. Once I added that window I now see how you can do it. Thanks for the tip!!!

You have to pick the part from the PCB components list in the left side panel. Then right click on the Designator in the list and NOT on the part on the PCB. The context sensitive menu has the reposition option.

Hopefully, a future version of CS will make this more intuitive but this seems to work for now.

Now if there was just a way to reposition the silkscreen text in 3D.... I'm pretty sure I could do it in a full Altium version but maybe this is a feature they prefer to limit access to for marketing reasons.

I am not at computer right now. On left side of Circuitstudio there is

panel. On top of it, there is pull down for components, nets... If there is

no panel, you can enable it under Home or View Tab. Then you select

component with left click, right click on selection, and then choose

reposition component. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the suggestion. But I am unaware of what you mean by "Components Tab active". I have tried every which way and cannot find a "Reposition Components" command. Can you explain in more detail where to find these buttons/tabs?

Hello,

You can open PCB panel ( with Components tab active ) in 3D view. Select one or more components and then right click and select Reposition Components. You can now move, rotate and flip components in 3D.
