Therefore I learnt that Doc Brown's invention which made time travel possible was a thing called "Fluxkompensator" - or "flux compensator" in English. This "flux compensator" came back to my mind when I was looking into writing an article to explain "zero flux current sensors", because "compensating flux (to zero)" is essentially what happens there.

It was only after I found a really nice photo of that iconic DeLorean, when I learnt that in the original English version of the movie the "flux compensator" really was called "flux capacitor". This learning kind of killed the connection between the movie and the current sensors. However, because I really liked that DeLorean image, I decided to stick to my original storyline anyway.
<img
