In January 2013, Honeywell extended the MCU (microcontroller unit) LCD (liquid crystal display) Hour Meters, LM Series, which are sealed digital instruments designed to monitor and record elapsed running time of equipment, normally displayed in hours and tenths of hours, to assure proper maintenance of expensive machines or systems. The LM Series offer a visible digital readout of elapsed time in a rugged, environmentally sealed case. They are available in various voltages and mounting configurations for use where accuracy and durability of an hour meter are required. These devices provide a large 7 mm display, high data retention capability of 40 years, a reset time of 1 s, and IP67 environmental sealing. Honeywell's LM Series MCU LCD Hour Meters may potentially be used in transportation applications including:

· Agricultural vehicles

· Blowers

· Engines

· Heavy-duty construction vehicles

· Heavy-duty trucks

· Material-handling equipment

· Mowers
