Hi All,
I get a lot request regarding the the advantages of our Polymer Capacitors against MLCCs! Do you want to understand as well the bigger picture of applications of Panasonic Polymer and MLCCs?
As you know the polymer capacitors are suitable for most of power lane to reduce the ripple voltage noise and to get stability, because polymer capacitor has a large capacitance and low ESR characteristics. Specially in SMPS frequency range100 kHz to 1MHz and high current applications. It is my opinion about the capacitance area between polymer and MLCC, if you need an effective capacitance over 100uF level, it may be a polymer area. if under 10uF or 100uF level, it may be a MLCC area. Please note that MLCCs have significant capacitance decrease by DC bias applied & temprature.
If you have any question on this please tell !
Have a great day,
Simone
