Just put in my application since I've got a PicoScope 2205A from RoadTest and a 3406D from my work that I have access to. Would be interesting to see how well it works ... especially on my potentially crummy LTE connection.

Interesting read. For me it would be great if Pico could develop a 3 phase high voltage unit to work alongside this to allow the voltage data to be captured at the same time.

Hi all, Kieran WInstanley here, product manager of data loggers at Pico Technology.

You're absolutely correct Mike, and we only collect the basic information from testers to be able to send a download link, and questions about your expectations of features, nothing too onerous i can assure you!

We need a good quantity of testers to really give the servers a good thrashing, so we're not being picky. If you have a Pico logger or scope (all except PicoScope 6000E work) and want to try it, you will be selected. Feedback and comments are very welcome by pressing the smiley face feedback button in the PicoLog application, bottom left of the screen.

So everyone knows, when you follow the sign up link, you basically fill out a six question "application" and Pico Technologies will let you know if you're selected.

Been waiting for a test equipment vendor to do this : ) There's lots of value in this. I'd definitely like to try it out with my Pico 2200-series unit.

And it could be extended in future so that you can have a northbound API for people to create their own apps or dashboards with (say) aggregated data, number of times a threshold was exceeded, and so on. Very useful for (say) checking that boiler temperatures are within range or trialling sensors throughout buildings without creating the whole data collection solution from scratch just to get some initial measurements.

Perhaps it could be extended to competitor products too, i.e. publish an API or SDK functions to the software connector portion that stores and forwards the data when the cloud connection is up. It could be at a slower throughput and fewer devices, so that even those without Pico equipment, can get a taste of what it's like and make use of it, and then be able to more easily articulate their need for future Pico equipment to management. Appreciate everything's not possible to do when rapidly developing a new solution though!

Anyway, it's nice to see this cloud offering.
