1. Compact form factor

Proprietary technologies and processes allowed ROHM to integrate 2 chips into the same 1608-package size as an conventional single-color LEDs. As a result making it possible to emit multiple colours in a smaller footprint.

 

2. Countermeasures to prevent solder intrusion

Adopting a backside electrode configuration and resists eliminates solder intrusion into the resin, ensuring high reliability during solder reflow.

<Application Examples>

1. LED Dot Matrix Displays

The backside electrode structure supports narrow pitch mounting, enabling  configuration of High-definition displays.   Additionally close configuration of the 2 LED chips improves colour mixing.
