.187 Faston receptacle terminal using Bright Tin plating?

Does anyone know if TE Connectivity sells a .187 Faston receptacle terminal using Bright Tin plating, fits a .02 " ( or .5mm) tab for 16 wire gauge? I am noticing that companies are using Bright Tin or Bright Nickel plated terminals for a tea kettle that I want to repair. The particular.187 Faston receptacle is for the kettle power cord. Those terminals are also magnetic I discovered, so they could be Nickel plated. I could not find a .187 Faston terminal with Nickel plated that will fit a 0.5mm without it being adjusted which fits too loose.

I cannot find any description of the status bits at bit 14 and 15 in the reply. What do they mean?

The only thing I could find was some code comment online:

I have been working with our folks internally to ID what we can do about this particular part from Ditek which is non-UL compliant.\\

Ditek DTK-240HW. The alternative is part DTK-120/240HW which is a larger component.

Basically, the other components offered by Ditek that are UL compliant are too large to fit in our panel design and we are looking for alternatives.

The existing part is roughly 2” square and the replacement item is 5” square – too large to fit in the panel.

Have you any suggestions on what we may want to consider using as an alternative?

I am trying to get internet connection form usb 3g dongle for Raspberry pi 2 B. I have tried with wvdial.conf and usb_modeswitch.conf. I have got ip address from ppp0 but i am not getting internet connection. and even i tried with sakis3g, here also same result and no internet connection. Below i have pasted my configurations. If any one worked on this pleas let me know where i am wrong?

Hi,

Sometimes the GPRS internet network is doing restrts and my router is unable to recover it unless it is powered off and then again on.

Looking to use single 250V/2A(any) AC relay with RasberryPi to programm RasberryPi to send signal to relay to disconnect the AC load(external GPRS router) and connect it back after 6 seconds if RasberryPi will detect that there is no Internet connection available on its RJ45 ethernet port?

Can I find this pin wire connector here if where can I get it?

What I bought from here (86W4646) is on the left and what I need is on the right. This connector has on it "BICC - VERO" and is on a 1992 year machine Swiss made. The pin size is the same but after the pin on (86W4646) is .110" and on the connector I need is .100" the big difference is the length where the pin locks in the connector. I would really like to get the right pin connector so not to redo the whole block or to make two hook ups (I could buy a 9 or more pin connector and use that and the old block having two hook ups not the one I have now) I don't want to do that but may have to....

Along with TE’s recently announced black zinc nickel plating, this new coating further expands TE’s response to new environmental regulations that reduce the use of cadmium. The nickel PTFE plating is Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) qualified, and offers the same level of electrical performance, harsh environment protection and temperature ranges as cadmium finishes.

DARMSTADT, Germany – 04 September, 2014 – TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity, announces its low-profile, surface-mount technology (SMT), miniature hermaphroditic connectors. The connectors are designed to provide power between adjacent linear LED lighting strip modules and enable faster and more efficient connections, by allowing customers to mate and unmate linear LED modules strips horizontally and vertically.

“The SMT miniature hermaphroditic connectors allow LED-printed circuit board strips to be joined with more flexibility than with traditional pin and socket SMT headers,” says Alex Hunt III, product manager, TE Intelligent Buildings. “The hermaphroditic design minimizes part number inventory, lowers production costs and simplifies the LED printed circuit board layout.”

The connectors are available in two-, four- and six-position hermaphroditic versions for lighting, data and control connections. The low-profile connectors were designed with rounded corners to minimize LED light obstruction, flat-top surfaces for vacuum pickup, and high-temperature material for reflow processing. The hermaphroditic connectors are also available with a one-position blade and receptacle for narrow width spacing on LED printed circuit board applications.

TE’s 3 A, 300 VAC/DC rated connectors operate at temperatures between minus 40 degrees C and 105 degrees C with a 1600 VAC dielectric withstanding voltage rating. The connectors’ housings feature UL 94V0 rated high-temperature resistant thermoplastic material, and contacts are constructed using a high-conductivity copper alloy with tin-over-nickel plating.

“The two-position wire-to-board insert molded lead assembly is designed to be secured with double-sided, thermally conductive tape,” says Mr. Hunt III. “This eliminates the need for latching features or hardware that would increase the overall height and width of the power connection to the linear LED module strip.”

The SMT miniature hermaphroditic connectors are best used in applications for architectural and sign lighting, retail and display lighting, fluorescent LED retrofit lighting, cabinet and furniture lighting, and commercial and residential cove lighting.

The newly expanded, easy-to-install M8/M12 connector system offers design engineers a reliable and complete solution to decrease downtime in industrial environments and supports higher bandwidth needs, meeting the requirements of up to 10 Gb/s.
The new system includes an extensive range of board and field installable connectors, cable assemblies and IO boxes. Key applications include: industrial automation, automobile manufacturing, machine tools , semiconductor manufacturing, factory automation machines, vision systems, and manufacturing of solenoid and sensor valves. The system is also sufficiently robust for use in harsh commercial applications such as outdoor data communications, outdoor telecoms, and advanced traffic monitoring.

Designed to meet IEC-61076-2-101, the new M8/M12 Connector System is also well suited for applications outside the traditional industrial environment, offering benefits wherever a compact reliable connection system with IP67 and IP68 environment protection is required.

TE Connectivity introduces the EVC 250 main contactor (EVC 250), a next generation product specifically designed for use in hybrid, full-electric and fuel cell vehicles, as well as in vehicle charging systems. The EVC 250 contactor works without pressurized contact chambers.

The new EVC 250 features larger contact gaps, optimized switching dynamics, high performance arc suppressing magnets and other measures to effectively control the switching arc. The contactor achieves continuous current ratings of 250A which ensures a safe short circuit carry capability of 6kA and complies with the demanding switching requirements in hybrid and electric vehicles. Service replacement due to pressure loss or gas leaking is no longer necessary.

This innovative design allows for compact dimensions of only 93 x 55.3 x 49.8mm (3.7 x 2.2 x 2.0”). Due to the contactor’s simplified construction, with optimized parts, the EVC 250 can allow for a fully automated production. In addition to the standard version with separate coils for pull-in and hold with automatic, internal switch, a second version with single coil for pulsed excitation (PWM) is also available. The EVC 250 fulfills the insulation requirements of IEC 60664.

Adopted in major platforms by top-ranking mobile phone manufacturers, the connector is a strong example of how TE responds with innovative designs and comprehensive solutions to fulfill customized client demands.

"The new ultra low profile push-push Micro SIM connector is an ideal solution for most devices carrying Micro SIM cards, especially portable devices. It not only follows the market trend of smaller and thinner devices, but also helps accelerate innovation with forward-looking features," says Youichi Kashiwa, card interconnection solution product general manager, TE Consumer Devices. "To name a few, it saves as much as 50 percent space, prevents card-jamming, and provides wider tolerance between card and stopper as well as better mating performance as a result of the dual contact design."

Its smooth push-push function and detect switch help create a more secure circuit connection. The dip leg is a new design that strengthens the solder joint on the PCB board. The wider card slot design makes it compatible with major Micro SIM card standards, including those with burrs on the edge or those out of spec. Other features include a full shield to prevent EMI issues and a flat shell that facilitates “pick and place” auto assembly.

TE’s Micro SIM connector family will also soon have push-pull products available by the end of 2012. In addition, to meet special design requirement, the Micro SIM and Micro SD Combo connector is an ideal choice for consumer electronics with limited PCB space by vertically stacking the two connectors.

The Inverted Card Edge and Poke-In Platform Connectors provide 3.0 mm creep and clearance from all other conductive components on FR4 and metal clad printed circuit boards. DARMSTADT, Germany – Nov. 26, 2013 – TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity, announces the new Inverted Thru Board (ITB) Card Edge and Poke-in Platform Connectors that provide a low-profile and increased power delivery solution for LED lighting applications.

The ITB Card Edge and ITB Poke-in Platform Connectors are two-position connectors that share the same PC board footprint while offering flexibility in providing either a direct card edge mating solution or a poke-in wire connection to the underside of the LED array boards. The connectors provide 3.0mm creep and clearance from other conductive components on FR4 and metal-clad PC boards making them suitable for higher voltage designs.

“These new connectors were designed to be assembly-friendly; they have a flat top surface which allows vacuum pick up,” said Alex Hunt III, Global Product Manager, TE Connectivity Intelligent Buildings. “And with the unique method of underside board mating, it simplifies the power delivery into LED arrays by eliminating various top surface wire management issues.”

Protruding only 1.55mm above the printed circuit board without a cover and 1.99mm with a cover, LED light obstruction due to the connector is minimized. To further optimize system optical performance, the connector is designed with rounded corners to minimize shadowing from the light emitting surface. Additional design features include surface mount hold-downs which provide stability during processing and during driver board mating and unmating in the card edge version and during wire insertion in the poke-in version.

The ITB Card Edge Connector is offered in two versions to accommodate board thicknesses of 1.0mm or 1.6mm. The ITB Poke-in accommodates 18AWG-22AWG or 22-26 AWG wire and features an integral wire insulation guide barrel to aid wire termination. The connectors are ideal for retrofit LED bulb applications as well as in track, spot, and down light applications.

The EYE Check Camera Accessory is specifically designed to aid in applicator feed setup and terminal alignment. This is important as most crimping issues are related to the terminal feed. Proper terminal feed is a major contributor to longer tooling life and proper feed increases machine up time by eliminating adjustments during production.

The EYE Check camera is both PC and crimp quality monitor II (CQMII) compatible and the camera is compact enough (11mm x 120mm) to fit in both bench top presses and lead makers.
