LDU1416S1000 EMI Input Filter Component Selection

Question

The LDU1416S1000 LDU1416S1000 LED Driver datasheet Identifies an input filter consisting of 2 capacitors in parallel and an inductor in series The datasheet specifies the values for the capacitors and inductor but not the max voltage for the caps or the max current for the inductor The capacitor voltage is easy I am having difficulty determining the max current for the 68uH inductor Any help would be appreciated

Jim, The input filtering is most likely used to suppress any back ripple from within the driver. The current could be in the order of 1.5 to 2.0 times the load load current. This device can drive up to 1.0 A, but depending on your loading it could be less. This is just a ballpark figure based on similar devices. Good luck, Gene
