It&amp;#39;s been done to speed up user interaction when choosing symbols and footprints. &lt;p&gt;I finally had reason to invest in this KiCAD tool and was not disappointed. It felt like having a Cole notes for an examine. Only have to remember the details that are important. It appears the software has undergone some revisions since this was posted. Some options (i.e. -f) have been deprecated.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
