The new boards came in this week and look good but I won't know for sure until some are soldered up. So I've packed everything up and will try it out with the two older grandkids this weekend. I'll make another post with lessons learned if things are successful. I'm updating the blog above... I left side cutters off the list of needed equipment.

Very nicely done, although from the title I was expecting Rosie to be the name your granddaughter who was learning to solder.

Just a couple of things I can't let pass without comment though:

The American pronunciation of solder. It's just wrong!
You realise we're now looking very closely at your soldering technique. Those resistors look a little suspect.
