How to manage symbols with KiCad?

I am using KiCad version 8.0 and use it to design PCB. 
 One of the questions that I could not find answer yet on the online documentation is how to manage symbols of the components that I am using in KiCad? 
 For example, if I am using 10 different components and I have .kicad_sym file for each of them, can I put them all at one place in a folder and just add (once) that folder to the path? 
 
 Currently, I do not see this for symbols. Though it is working for footprints. 
 For example, here is the list of symbols that Kicad has by default in one folder. Each one of them is added individually in Kicad. 
 Though some of these .kicad_sym has more than one symbols within them.

Not near a PC so I can't type in detail but you can create a custom symbol library and create your symbols inside there. And you can copy other symbols into there from other libraries if you like, and make any changes in there too and so on. 
 You don't need to maintain loads of single-component libraries as a result.
