I ordered a RPi from Element14/Newark on March 12th after receiving an email saying I could do so. I received an email around April 27th saying I was going to received my RPi until some unknown future date. Then May 2nd I received another email suggesting that I may get one around the end of June. Of course my order status still has a blank date.

All the emails were polite and made it seem like I had won the jackpot. "Yeah. I'm lucky the delay is almost over. Good news. I'll get one soon!". Lucky me.

I had almost forgotten about the RPi until my buddy emailed me telling me he had one.

So ... really. I'm not sure I know that I'll get one in June. I just have a promise.

And who cares anymore. The excitement has worn off. I'm done being hopeful. It'll show up whenever it shows up. Whatever.

Is there any difference between signing up and actually pre-ordering (credit card info and all) in terms of when a order might be received?

This whole debacle has an air of the "Clive Sinclair 28 day delivery syndrome" about it from way back in the 70s.
These problems, especially with the to-type testing simply should NEVER have happened these days.

Why i still can't pre order? it only shows register interest. I did that months ago.

I ordered 29.Feb, 7:02... but I'm not in the first row.. I'm a new customer (and only received the 0815 customernr. like every new rasp customer) .. i've heard , that older customers had ordered later (7:05, 7:07 and so on), but receive their raspberry with the first wave... (all in germany..)

So I ask me, what's that for a politic.. saying everybody receive the raspberry strictly in the order they receive the commitment.. EXECPT they are a new customer.. then they have to wait ..(till week32 the said on the telefon..)

oh, I ordered the 3th of march (well, before but they got some issue and I had to fix calling them by phone, and got a very professional person). If ppl who ordered before 18th April can expect Rpi before end of June, will those who finalized the order sooner can expect it to get it before that?

The queue... FIFO I hope...

I'm "registered the interest" in late febrary, but still don understand how to pre-order. I will get a "you can pre-order" style mail?

I've ordered at April 3 and have not yet received any information about my order.

Is it possible to contact a customer service about the state (and the real final price) of our RaspberryPI orders?

You state that customers who ordered before today (18th A|pril) will definitely receive their Raspberry Pi before the end of June.

What is the postion please for those who ordered over a month ago (say 18th March for example) but who were not in the first 'batch'?

Is it possible that we will we receive ours in May?
