This is unexpected: Today I got two mails: One is a reply to a mail from me and tells me that "[...] is due to be dispatched on 09/07/2012. We are very sorry [...]" the other one tells me that my raspberry pi has been shipped (the adress is missing "Germany" is that normal?). Which one can be trusted? I guess the dispatch-one. Is this normal procedure to miss the country the order is beeing shipped in the confirmation mail?

That is quite strange. I ordered mine March 3rd and I got mine on June 8th. Maybe they have supply issues but I've been happy with mine.

Any word on when the back order will be taken care of and we can order more Raspberry Pi's

At least a bunch of you people are getting emails. To date, I have gotten nothing other than a "Welcome to Newark/element14" message and my order acknowledgement.

I *ordered* (not registered interest) on 4/18.

My order status page still shows backordered, with a shipment date of 8/16.

In the weeks from ordering, on the product info page I've had messages like "1 will ship on May 29th", "1 will ship on June 6th", and "1 will ship on June 25th". The order status date never changed. Then they removed the info page and it became a register interest page without that information.

Looking at the faqs and forum here, I found that the 8/16 date was just there as a place holder.

And now in reading the shipping date threads on the forum, I find people who have ordered their RPi after the 4/18, and have already received them. Me, my status is BACKORDERED.

This is bad, says I. So I take the option for internet chat with customer service. And I'm told that my expected date is in September.

(So much for the promises made by the company in the faq entry. I guess that it helps if you don't tell people about the promise via email...)

Here is the response when I questioned the September date, also giving the cs person the information about the dates that I had:

For orders received after the 18th April, we will be shipping those deliveries throughout August into September. You will receive an email confirming your delivery prior to dispatch. Again I apologize for the delay, but as soon as we get them we will send you and update on delivery status.

Also, it seems that while I ordered on 4/18 and my order acknowledgment says 4/18, they consider me as ordering on 4/19, so the promises of the end of June don't apply.

And the promise of after 4/18 has moved by a full month from July/August to August/September.

No update about expected shipments, no updates about delays.

What do I get, a September ship date. And when I questioned that, I'm told "I gave you the longer expected date so that if it comes sooner you would be happy". If it comes.

So what do I have today: No information, promises that won't/can't be met, and several months more of waiting.

Indeed few days left. If there's an email prior to the departure of the pi to the consumer it should get to me soon. And I ordered about a week before the "deadline". I count on you guys to be on time.

So ... the last message I received from Element14 was back in April letting me know that my unit would ship at the end of June. There are five days left in June and I still have not idea when my RPi will arrive. Customer Service really sucks!!!!!

How about updating the FAQ ?

The last update on the delivery is one and a half month old and I doubt that it's still up to date (e.g. I ordered before 18th April but I don't got a delivery date yet).

Hey guys,

The e-mail I got on April 27th stating that the PI has passed its compliance testing is the last message I got. Problem is I didn't register during checkout so I can't track my order.

Can anyone of you guys help me out? I can provide the Farnell reference number, maybe that helps.

I ordered my raspberry pi on the very first day that you could. I stayed up all night and I still don't have it. Why do some people have there and other not? why is there such confussion around this. I'm so frustrated . Can anyone tell me when I might get it? Or how do I verfify that this company hasn't dropped me. Please help me out with this element14. Thank you

I got a shipping confirmation today that my unit shipped out. Sent via UPS. I'll probably have to wait until tomorrow to see where it is and when it will be delivered.

I logged in and checked my delivery date a week ago and it finally changed to May 29th. Imagine my surprise when I checked again today and it's been changed to June 18th! If it doesn't ship then I'm canceling the order; what a disaster.
