You carn powered your pi with a usb from you Tv to power it up when the tv are on and you need to plug the pi in HDMI for power down with your remote control. Mabay you have some seting in your tv for everyting work good.

Hi,I'm new to all this and ive got my Pi up and running with the Raspxbmc software but i cant power it off my tv.I have a Samsung smart tv but it doesnt power the Pi up when i turn it on and i have to plug in the power adapter to the mains.Any help would great,thanks Rob.

Got the XBMC Bundle, and a Pi, plus a 3rd pty. case (nice sturdy white plastic, precut holes - snaps together nicely, good job dude!) to go with it. Tiny little Pi...goody goody...

HOWEVER BE WARNED THAT as shipped, the "wireless" keyboard comes WITH A WIRE. That's not such a bad thing, since the expected (and pictured in the box) USB bluetooth dongle IS NOT PRESENT. As such, it might more properly be spoken of as a dongleless WIRED keyboard, sold to delay construction and negatively impact that good-'ol-out-of-box experience. Bah.
