Hello,
I am a newbie but I love to learn and build things with technology.
I would love to have the raspberry pi for multiple reasons but I am trying to build a drone.
I am currently working on a design and the mechanics of a project drone to deliver items an/ or packages.
Mainly for myself and for fun, i'm not trying to be Amazon or chik-fila delivering food.
I got the idea of wanting one because i keep leaving little items at home or locking my keys in the car and my home isn't too far from work but takes a while due to traffic.
One day when i locked my keys in the car i was like "dang wish I had drone that can fly my keys to me" so thought well why not build one for fun.
I want to use the raspberry pie to add additional functionalities. ideally i'm going to try and make it autonomous and add other cool features as well.
i know theirs tons of drones out there but it's funner to build one and good opportunity to keep learning.

is there a date for when/if the FLIRC for pi 5 will be available in GB? the $15 for postage from flirc.tv is quite excessive

But, as life goes on, I’ve come across a new and exciting prospect.

AI IN EDUCATION!

I’ve seen Raspberry Pi AI accelerators and just how powerful the Raspberry Pi 5 is. I want to be able to deploy something which only requires a 100AUD or so device which can be accessible and provide access to personal Multimodal LLMS such as LLaVA and BakLLaVa.

I want to make a model F1 car using it. It will be faster than normal model cars! Also I want to reuse it and do some automation and use it as a web server! I've never got my hands on a Raspberry Pi! I hope they will choose me as the winner [emoticon:c4563cd7d5574777a71c318021cbbcc8]

With both built in BLE and WiFi interface, may a maintenance monitor for test equipment or maybe a wireless NAS. Just saying. 8^)

Little worlds of automation, backup NAS for my workstation,

restream server from location, remote access on vacation.. When I

skydive, you can call my Pi 5.

I setup a Raspberry Pi4 8g to act as my Home Assistant server. It was a little lacking with extras being monitored along side being a bluetooth master. It ran extremely hot, so I abandoned it for a Nuc instead. The HA software has PI Iso so revisiting the HA Server with the Pi5 8g with all the bells a whistles including cooling system is project I can hardly wait to tackle.
