The rp2040 pico was already impressive for the price. I loaded microPython on it and had lots of fun playing, learning. Now this. For $5 it’s a good deal.

while we often worry about “security through obscurity” offered by legacy vendors, actually it is mostly case of US vendors who still remember export restrictions on cryptography enabled products. Ofthen it is not their own choice. RP MCUs are deisgned in Europe and European products are usualy not affected by this. For example, ST document all their advanced cryptom accelerated peripherals publicly as well.

Wow. Lots of power for a $5 MCU.

The chip datasheet is 1346 pages.

I still would like to see more than 3 A/D channels.
