Maybe many developers think that this is old ages history instead sprites are again one of the most efficient way to make some kind of motion (not only games as you suggest). Thanks for this jump back to the future [View:/resized-image/__size/16x16/__key/commentfiles/f7d226abd59f475c9d224a79e3f0ec07-2ad2e3b1-eb95-4ac7-bdac-cccd23c65939/contentimage_5F00_1.png:16:16]

Enrico

RE: Working with Sprites: Building Street Fighter with the Pi

Hi Shabaz,

Thanks for the great post! In addition to the educational value of it, for me there is also the added bonus of bringing back sweet memories from childhood, when I had my first contact with programming through the Commodore VIC-20 and later the C-64, and I can still remember the endless afternoons when, with a sheet of squared paper and a pencil, I was designing the sprites I'd use for my rather rudimental animation... (oh, lets not forget also all those PEEK and POKE!!)[View:/resized-image/__size/16x16/__key/commentfiles/f7d226abd59f475c9d224a79e3f0ec07-2ad2e3b1-eb95-4ac7-bdac-cccd23c65939/2148.contentimage_5F00_1.png:16:16].

Fabio.
