Hi ,I found your article just what I am looking for .

I bought the emergenie gateway ,smart plugs and clamp in energy monitor some while ago and wanted to find a solution running under Linux to measure store and calculate

kWHs so that I can calibrate and measure against the charge meter .

So I am running node red under pop os and charting the readings .

What I need to do now is calculate kWh which isn't that easy .

But you have given me a start thanks

Hello thanks for the tutorial. I am just trying to get this working and am having a similar issue to Andy above. Whenever I try to login using my Mihome password (which I have double checked), the Node-Red servie loses connection and it appears restarts. The error message the console on the RPi gives an Error: ENOENT: no such file or directory, open 'key.json' - do I need to create this file somewhere first?

I would really apprecaite some guidance

Sorry to bother you again, I tried the admin dashboard put 1234 plust email and pass word and i get a box saying connection lost and even if i re do it and click on scan I get nothing.

I am doing some thing wrong again.

Hi all

This is a great blog, I am part was in and can not seem to download mihome node to my system.

I am running a raspi3 with openhabian as the main os. I have node-red running on the system and can download new node with the palette but not allowing me with terminal, i get errors.

Has anyone else had problems with it.

I am working on something similar but employing OpenHAB 2, Enocean Sensors, ESP8266 based end actuators and an Amazon Echo Dot. I originally wanted to use the Google Assistant API however turn out that Amazon just launched the echo range in India and it is just a better and more durable solution.

I really love the use of NodeRed. I want to pick up one of the new £49 Google device, hue bulbs, chrome cast audio, ip cam and some of those window and door close sensors and tie it all in NodeRed.

Only difference would be I want to include a EInk Display so when I turn the lights off in my bedroom it does not glow away!

Nice work.

I do like the interface to dim the display.

I still prefer systems that don't rely on sending your data out, so I think my implementation would follow the work of Peter Oakes and Peter Scargill to keep it "in House".

It lends it self very well to intelligent security rather than just turning the outside lights on.

Nice, Shabaz! I've been designing solutions on linux without Node-RED lately because I want to learn the 'closer to hardware and linux' things. But what a nice solution it is.

And I appreciate that there's some electronics component in the design.
