It was good to get some perspectives of how much was generated and what various activities did to reduce that heating. It helps to have a rule-of-thumb guideline on heat versus cooling and activity.

If you can add a fan and CPU temperature may be able to decrease a few more degree C. Here's the package I got from Amazon and it's pretty cheap solution

Hi Allen,

Great to see your datapoints. Mine seems to be behaving similarly, idling at a reported 63 degrees C at room temperature, in an enclosure with some venting. I'll have to dig out a heatsink for it too.

Seems like quite an oversight for them not to provide ventilation in the "official" case. And from your data it seems to really need a heat sink.
