Is there a more up-to-date fix for this? Is this only for rasbian or does it work with Ubuntu as well? Which pi did this work for?

I don't know why this solution was so hard to find but it was. I have an old Logitech webcam (C910) which was blowing my Pi up any time it was engaged and nothing that I tried would fix it until I found this. I had thought that I needed a powered USB hub to fix it. I hooked one up but no luck. After doing this it works great!

Can you indicate the context of this fix in terms of what Pi (s) it applies to? I assume it is related to Pi4's but does the memory size matter?
