Delivery with farnell in the uk

Hello everyone,

I'm fairly new to the RPi system itself but have been following them for a good long while now! I was just wandering if anyone else is experiencing the same thing with Farnell in that they say they have stock as of the 3rd/4th of January '13 and when ordering the RPi they say UPS will deliver next day? I ordered mine on the 3rd, they gave me an order number which I can find absolutely nowhere to enter and I have also had no email confirmation from them. This therefore begs the question as to where my RPi is and whether or not I will have to wait for a couple of weeks? It doesn't really matter to me when it arrives but I would just like to know that it actually will arrive.

If anyone else has had this sort of experience I would greatly appreciate any replies regarding this!

    Has Pi ordering and delivery from Farnell/Element 14 changed now that backlogs are vanquished?  Is the item in stock now for next next UK delivery just like any other normal stocked Farnell product, or do we in the UK still have to go through the annoying export site with its 2nd Class postal delivery despite this being a domestic purchase?

    Thanks for the reply so soon.

    What you outlined is confusing me to because I have seen elsewhere that the UPS delivery as stated on their site isn't used to deliver RPi's instead they use the normal post office services. Which makes me wonder why I paid £5.95 for the delivery, I have also seen some contradicting posts but they do give some confidence...

    Simply I just don't understand why they say its in stock and they don't allow next day delivery?
